Less known architect's house of art nouveau genius Paul Hankar - not open to public and very rarely to be visited
This is the famous (former) residence of Art Nouveau pioneer architect Paul Hankar (1859-1901), designed by Hankar himself and built in 1893. Still a private residence, so the interior is inaccessible to the public, but superb brick-stone-tile-and-iron façade in part influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement. Not to be missed on any visit to the Ixelles/Saint-Gilles neighborhood of Brussels.
Sublime hôtel particulier , merveille d architecture qui rappelle que Bruxelles est la capitale incontestée de l art nouveau.
