Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful Greece songs. Nice and helpful staff. Food is good with a lot of options. Very good coffee (someone may love coffee like me). Good prices. You can pay cash or bank card.

The food was ok but the variety was small and not so Cretan, as you would assume from the name. The raki was good though

Best meze in town. Nice terrace in the summer. We've been going there for ages !

Its owned by a family. It's a very authentic Greek tavern. If you want to get a whiff of Greece just try going a Friday night most of the times you will find a band with a buzuki or a guitar singing. Highly recommend this place

After going here for about 20 years, I can honestly say this is about as satisfying Greek food as you will find in the capital. It's not like the sort of tourist traps you will find around the Grand Place. And it is not at all refined.... Rather the opposite. It's loud, busy and chaotic. But if you like a fresh mezze or grilled fare, you will not do better. The house wine is very nice, especially the rose. Prices are more than right. It's really a taste of rural Greece. As such, it's best to go during good weather as it's bigger on the outside than the inside. Expect a crowd and reserve if your party is bigger than four people or be expected to wait.... But don't bother to go to it's neighboring restaurants...they are not nearly as good.
