Their coffee is OK so is the food except that it's often sold out at 2 o clock. The interior is very pleasant but the staff have some psychological problems. Lately there were wasps everywhere outside and inside. My friend had a broken arm so couldn't do much. I wanted to kill the wasps landing on him. 2 female workers started getting all emotional that I can't kill wasps and that they will never do anything to us. I pointed out that Hinterland served bacon, salmon, chicken etc... so they are actually dead animals. Apparently the argument didn't work. We ended up both being stung, me with a big allergy which ended up in the hospital with adrenaline shot. Thank you very much intelligent ladies!

A MUST have brunch place in Brussels! Friendly staff, well located (can easily et here by tram) , food were served fast. This place is abit small but the deco is very cute! Had the Buddha bowl (portion was huge!), sandwich with pesto and chicken (perfect for post-workout), blueberry pancake (It’s just amazing and you must try...), cookies and banana bread (cookie was very chewy and soft but not a big fan of the banana bread). My bf had the matcha hot chocolate, was yum but I don’t recommend it to go with any food option.. it’s just too heavy. I had the iced chai latte and it’s really tasty. I came here sometimes on weekdays to work and the WiFi works perfectly fine. They do delivery too so you can also order from home. Love this place and definitely come back often.
I heard it was the best place in Brussels for pancakes but the experience was disappointing overall: service was very slow, the food was no more than OK and cold (especially eggs were a catastrophe), and the price certainly too high for those standards. Ok, pancakes were good but once can find much better elsewhere...
Ordered the pancakes and pesto toastie with bacon to share. The pancakes were well presented with a fresh couli and mint leaves, however they had a floury after taste which made me feel they were slightly undercooked. The toastie with pesto was amazing, the bread was well toasted, generous amount of cheese and bacon, but I feel like it’s very difficult to get this wrong. The ambience of the place was really vibey and open, so would definitely go back there and try something else on the menu!
I had very high expectations about this place due to the reviews and the hype in the city. It was a sincere disappointment. Beside waiting in line outside in the cold (that apparently is a thing in Brussels ), I asked for something matcha and they didn’t have it, i asked for coconut milk, again out of stock. I settled for the pear and cream pancakes at last and the pancakes were another disappointment. A mix of unremarkable flavors resulting in something too sweet and messy. But the no-go item was definitely my friend’s toast with avocado and beet mash and sweet potatoes. You could only taste the sweetness of the potatoes and the result was plain, dull and a complete let down.
I took the avocado toast with salmon and a matcha chocolate. It was very tasty and the matcha with chocolate was a first : I love it! The portions are big. The staff is nice and helpful. They have a terrace so you can eat outside under a nice sun ;)

The food was delicious, we ordered blueberry pancake and French toast The drink was not that good, we actually could not drink it a weird combination of dark chocolate, milk and a kind of tea! but eventually,, everyone has a different taste! I recommend it and i will definitely go back again
