Very nice looking castle, is property of Catholic University, and inside has administrative offices of the university, so unless you're a student or a body of university, you cannot visit it. Surrounded by a park with very old trees and small canals of Dyle river. Pay attention to signs, you cannot park there or enter the grounds by car, there is a private parking across the street.

It's a nice place to relax with kids or without. You can take a nice walk or bike ... We often picnic there (kids feeds the ducks) or we just enjoying the \wild\ side of the river. Nice place to run away from the city. Have a sunny day!

Today, the castle is a part of the Leuven University and used as classrooms! It is not open for general public to visit.

I don't go inside this place but it looks really cool from the outside. Once owned by a rich German family, thus the double golden eagles. The grounds surrounding it are quite nice and there's a beautiful tree lined pathway leading to it. If you figure out what the odd sticks hovering over the river are for please let me know Recommended as part of a tour of the lovely campus!
