La Hulpe, Belgium

The chateau itself with some parts of the building, covered in greenery, it was just so picturesque. Beside the chateau is its garden which is freely accessible. The well laid out French style garden with green shrubs and colorful flowering plants placed perfectly in harmony with sculptures of angels & cherubs. Chateau de la Hulpe is one of the sought after places for a destination wedding in Belgium!

Really cool that the 4 towers are covered in green. Very spacious garden to enjoy the scenery and relax.
Solvay Castle (French: Château Solvay, also called Château de La Hulpe), is a château located in the municipality of La Hulpe, Walloon Brabant, Belgium. The château was built by the Marquis Maximilien de Béthune. Jean-Jacques Arveuf-Fransquin of France and the Belgian architect Jean-François Coppens (1799–1873) were given the task of building the castle, which was completed in 1842. It was erected on the summit of a hill, in Flemish Neo-Renaissance style, flanked by towers at each of the four corners. In the late 19th century, the house and estate were acquired by Ernest Solvay, and have since been known as the Domaine Solvay. Today the property is owned by the regional government of Wallonia, and is classified as an \Exceptional Heritage Site in Wallonia.\ The grounds are open to the public.
Wonderful place to walk and relax.
It’s a fairy tale palace surrounded by a beautiful Parc, coming here with your family or simply crossing the property by bike is definitely an experience to do. From Brussels by bike it’s around two hour maximum.
Huge domain, not crowded, horse patio, lots and lots of space for my kids to run and explore, and the castle is usually rented for various events, and is a place where you can really enjoy a walk. Parking is outside the domain, on street. There are two entries, the main gate and the second back gate, 500 m away. I strongly recommend it!
