We found our honey hole store for souvenirs. We returned seven times to add to our collection to take back with us during our wonderful visit to Bruges last summer. Something for everyone here.

The most magnificent store I've ever been to!!! Must see if you love Christmas! Plenty of hand crafted toys, clocks and dolls. Excellent maintenance and polite service.

The place looks like an ongoing Christmas, so shinny, so bright and colorful. It's expensive a bit, but fine quality and fabulous details

An amazing place to visit, even in May :) you can spend over an hour just browsing through all of the cutest and most delicate Christmas decorations.

Absolutely amazing things inside this shop. Things that require an investment as they are expensive, but good quality.

Stopped by Kathe Wohlfahrt, the German Christmas ornament and decoration specialist again during our recent visit to Bruges and enjoyed browsing their shop on Breidelstraat. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm daily. We didn't buy anything this time around but enjoyed viewing the handmade tree ornaments, nutcrackers, Xmas pyramids, cuckoo clocks and other holiday items of interest. The shop is filled with beautiful Christmas related items, well worth popping in to have a look around even if you don't plan on making purchases. Note: There is a larger Kathe Wohlfahrt branch at Walplein in Bruges. We actually prefer this branch as it is larger and quieter with far fewer visitors during the day.

First of all, know that there is nothing unique about this store. They are a worldwide chain. Still, I was traveling with friends who wanted to go in, so I went in too. I was looking for a Brugge ornament, and while I didn’t really like the ones they had, I bought one anyway, since I wasn’t sure if I’d have time to find something else. The next day I found one I liked better (at a much better price!), so I tried to return the one I bought. I still had the receipt and had not even taken it out of the box. The ladies at the store told me they only do exchanges. Nowhere on the receipt or in the store was this stated, and in fact the Käthe Wohlfahrt website does free returns. I told them this, very sternly, as I was very upset. The woman told me she would have to call her boss. I waited and she eventually came back with my money, but she was very rude. She even lied and said I had screamed at her when I hadn’t even raised my voice! All of the ladies that work there seem to have a rude attitude. Avoid this tourist trap store and go to some of the other lovely local stores that don’t sell the same stuff you can find in other countries and online.

Terrible place, way too crowded, too small for the many customers. Okay, we've been here on a busy Saturday, in mid-December, but still - the shop was way too crowded that I even panicked a bit and had to leave. People everywhere, their staff members tried their best to organize the stream of people coming in, or on the only (and narrow) stairs. Plus the shop smelled, like too many people and like old houses do. I was standing beside a door down to cellar, when it was opened, that made the odor even worse.
