Love the staff, the atmosphere, the safety and collection of products. If you need anything, you can always ask the staff and they'll help you the best they can even if it's 'against' their shop. E.g. ordering food, or finding a game somewhere else that might suit you better.
Awesome place for a drink, boardgames, and a view of the water. The staff is highly knowledgeable of most boardgames in the shop, and always ready to help out. The option of trying out a boardgame in the shop is much appreciated. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to have a drink and unwind with a game.
As for me, the definition of your friendly local game store. It has a very nice service. A nice place to stay, enjoy a drink, have a laugh, play a game and have a RPG-session with a view of the water outside.
Great place, extensive comic book collection, lots of Magic the Gathering and other TCG's, plenty of RPG's like Dungeons and Dragons. Great bar and great service. I love it there.
There's many different places in Ghent where you can have fun, but there is only one place I know of, that has it all. If you like to: - Read comics - Read manga - Read people's minds - Play board-games - Play card-games - Play any kind of games (except with feelings, SHARON) - Compete in tournaments (no longer to the death, though) - Drink a myriad of beers, soft-drinks, rums and soups (perhaps not a good idea to mix them all, trust me. It's why we can't have tournaments to the death anymore) - Eat larger than life toasts, snacks and a burger for friends of all of the world's creatures - Relax by the waterside - Relax by an atmospheric bar - Relax in an alcove - Relax in the confines of your own existential dread - Find release from those confines thanks to the incredible charms of the people that work there - And all that in a dungeon with a stylishly modern interior? Lastly...do you like to arrive in style? Good! You can just reach the front door on foot, by bike or by using public transport, ooooor you can reach the water-side entrance by boat, canoe, pedalo and also on foot if you have Jesus-powers! The World's End Comics & Games Center (WEC for short) truly has it all.
