If you visit Ghent and its historical centre, you have to go to the Graslei. This is certainly one of the most beautiful places in Ghent. Those who want to have a free view of the historic house facades on the Leie must secure a place on the Meraki. A wide choice of drinks and small snacks will make you forget the time, as you can't get enough. At and on the water there is a colourful hustle and bustle. And again and again the eye of the beholder meets a new detail. At the Meraki I especially liked the perfect view and the silence. The service was very good and attentive. We will come back again!

This place was so cute and quaint. Came in to find a cheap drink away from the cold. There was a comfortable inside area along with outside seating with heaters. I would recommend this place for good prices, good views and away from the crowds!!

Nice view, but horrible waffles. Would only recommend for enjoying the view and ready-made food/drinks.

You have to catch the waiters if you need service. Price is good for great location and view. Nice beer choice.

Fantastic place for a drink and watch the boats float by in front of stunning architecture. Good staff and cheap drinks.

Very kind staff, price reasonable considering its location. Was a bit surprised to see nutty chocolate inside my drink but the taste was nice. Cuppa hot chocolate can warm you up in chilly night in Gent!

The opening hours are crazy. I asked the manager and she said that really depends on the day. If it’s good weather, they open and stay opened until late, if it’s not, they close it. Also, the staff is very friendly. The word Meraki is a greek one, and it is used to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (soul, creativity, love) in your work.
