Dorina Jurca from in-gent is the most arrogant and inefficient person I ever had to deal with. My spouse is studying abroad for a PhD and could therefore not yet do the inburgering course. I sent the documentation and for a period my spouse did not need to do the inburgering. When that period lapsed, I received an email asking about the current status, and I replied that the PhD was prolonged. I received an email from Jurca that she would follow up. What I received instead was a formal letter of default threatening me with a fine. Found out that Jurca had send ONE email only to my spouse’s email address in Dutch (notwithstanding that I always was the contact person). Not replying to that one email was enough to receive registered letter threatening with a fine. Very disappointed.

Beneficial organisation for new comers to gent. Here you can apply for the Dutch and integration courses for free. There are a lot of choices about time and language. Here you will have an assistance in your language (some languages). This assistance can help you for everything about education, job, living, rules, costumes,... in Gent. If you have long term goal to live in gent, I advice you to get help from IN-GENT and find everything more easier.
