Extremely scenic and well-kept little castle. Nice of them to make a fun audio-guide narrative out of what I imagine are mostly exaggerated stories. Takes half an hour to walk around, another half to sit, relax and absorb it's beauty.

Funny and interesting audio guide. Great castle and awesome views from the top. Fair prices. They do their best to keep enough distance between the visitor. Best to buy tickets on your phone either in advance or when you get there.

We didn't go inside but it's a beautiful building and we're happy that we integrated it into our walk.

Probably my favourite sight in all of Ghent. While the entire city is picturesque, the Castle of the Counts does full justice to its name. I have actually been three times now and full credit to the management for the maintenance they carry out as well as the steps they have taken to make the visit far more interactive and interesting for people of all ages. Ghent can normally be visited in 1-3 days (take your pick) but make sure that you do not miss this particular place because it is pretty much the point from which the entire city developed in the 12th century.

The castle, and Gent in general, is awesome to visit. Very nice, alongside Bruges and Bruxelles.

The castle is a must visit in Ghent! The ticket includes a audio guide that is the best I’ve ever had! The story is truly immersive and gets you through the life story of the Count of Flanders.

Loved it. History is precious. Few places inside the castle were blocked from my reach like the kings throne. Would have enjoyed sitting on it if allowed and also was looking for some costumes to try out, but it was not available. Hope they give immersive experience to tourist in future.

A fun early morning visit including a stunning audio tour. The castle has been impeccably maintained considering that it's a12th century relic. This Gothic style castle may not have a lo of intricate work as compared to other similar architectural landmark but has a very strong history behind it. An audio guide is much recommended to compliment your tour and an early visit makes it easier to navigate the full extent of the tour without fatigue. Do remember to check your headphones before stepping off from the counter. Do make the effort to pull yourself up till the roof. There are some great city views possible from there.
