Good price for stretch tents
We chose CanvasCamp as we were looking for a large good quality, heavy duty canvas bell tent that would be able to survive camping in frequently wet and windy Norway. As this kind of tent is relatively unusual in Norway we looked at buying online either from the UK or somewhere else in Europe. One of our big concerns as internet only shoppers was good customer service and aftersales service should we have any problems. We chose CanvasCamp as they had the tent we liked most (Sibley 600 protech DD) and after lots of prepurchase emails we felt confident in their customer service. As they were out of stock of the inner tent at the time of purchase (Sept 2017) we were able to arrange to preorder this with our tent order thus cutting our postage for the inner tent from nearly 50 euros to about 5 euros. Unfortunately, due to a minor oversight, when this inner tent arrived it had not been labelled as part of a previous order so we were presented with a handling fee and asked to pay VAT on it for a second time. We contacted CanvasCamp and they immediately offered to pay (or reimburse if necessary) this invoice so our faith in their customer service has was well placed. Overall we are very happy with the customer service we received, the speed of delivery (excluding the inner tent we had our whole order in less than a week and I think most of that time was spent in Norwegian customs) and the quality of the tent itself which is outstanding and a real head-turner. We have only managed one short trip in it so far before the norwegian winter struck (we are waiting till our kids are older before we get a stove for year round use) and are looking forward to many happy years of family camping.
