It took me about an hour to properly look at every stall and decide what to buy and compare the prices From exotic food (e.g. Belgian waffles, Thai street food, Portuguese snacks, fresh seafood, baked goods) to fresh flowers to agricultural produce, this market has it all! It would be nice for the organiser to put together an updated list of vendors (dozens !) so guests can have an idea of what to buy and see.

I am a fan of this market and also a true street food lover. One of my favorite food stall in this market is \Karma Kitchen\, serving Asian food with fair prices. My favorite is their Scampi Noodles, the portions are huge, very delicious and price is between 5 to 7 euros. Next time, you know what to try!

Exotic food market or better known as the Bird market (Vogelenmarkt) has a very rich history. Started in 16th century on the Meir and moved in 1912 to the Theater square. Nowadays people from far come to see this piece of old history. Each Saturday (8-16h) and Sunday (8-13h) you can find a huge market which is a collection of fruits & vegetable stands, multicultural eating stands from Chinese to Indian food, clothing stands and the typical market DIY and gadget stands. (Keep in mind though that it is closed on public holidays) Popular nowadays are the oysters and seafood stands, huge amount of people coming there to have a brunch with a glass of champagne! Every week we go buy fruits and vegetables for the whole week. You have lots of stands on Saturday but it is rather more expensive as it is the first day of the weekend and prices are bit higher. Though there are some stands which are typically a bit cheaper. Just compare prices, each seller has its own cheap stuff. The best deals you will get on Sundays, rather towards the closing time at 13h. A few sellers are putting huge discounts to get rid of their last stack. Love this market! Every now and then there is also a flee market happening. Check the website of ‘Goegekregen’ for dates.

Wonderful, colorful, happy place to be on Saturday! Don't miss it! You get to taste the food and even combine it with the vino they sell there. Don't forget to get your personal shopping bag and avoid to use the plastic bags the sellers offer to you. Please try to make less rubbish around the food stands.

This so nice to stroll around. Many different kinds of food stalls to pick up your daily groceries. You can also grab a glass of wine and some oysters, that perfectly cooked hamburger of some artisan Olive oil. Don't forget to like this review, if you find it helpful.
