Stay away from this company. They will steal your money. Thieves!! I rented a van for a promotional 5hours. It was supposed to kost 39euro. I filled the tank and have the van back and 2 days after I got an invoice for 110euro. More than 30euro for gas. While I had filled the tank. And the rest was for the rental. Much more instead of the 39euro. Customer service doesn't reply. Tried calling, email, and Facebook. I went back by the office and they were friendly enough to file a complaint but they couldn't do anything themselves. Still haven't gotten my money back. So angry. Disgusting it is! I will not leave it at this and see what I can do about it. Never again this company. Ridiculous it is.

I had a voucher which I wanted to use for the car hire. This was not possible on the website for no apparent reason. Customer service confirmed the voucher was ok and would, since car was already hired, be deducted from the invoice. This has not happened, repeated reminders remain unanswered. Not the service quality I am used to with Sixt.i had accepted the voucher at the beginning of travel restrictions instead of insisting on a refund as a \commercial\ gesture. Sixt's behaviour has ensured that I will not do this again.

Sixt doesn't pay me for this. My app tells me I recently rented my 30th time with Sixt, mostly in Brussels, in a period of ca. three years. With one or two exceptions, I have always been treated correctly. Staff is courteous, service is quick. I have been upgraded to a higher category several times, also before obtaining my current platinum status. Invoices were almost always correct. When the occasional hick-up in an invoice came up, this was settled within a matter of days, if not hours. Courtesy from both sides probably helps. During my most recent rental, in Brussels South Station, I was dealt with immediately and in a very friendly manner, and was upgraded from a three door compact (as in Mini One) to a full size automatic (as in BMW 3-series). Before creating false expectations: a triple upgrade is rare, and an upgrade as such is never your birthright. As with other agencies, Sixt will never guarantee a make and model, only a \type\ and size. A few things to know about Sixt: 1) Omnium insurance is not automatically included (that's different from most other agencies based in Belgium). If you do not want to be 100% liable for damage or theft, take one, and take it upon booking online rather than in the rental station. 2) Yes you are supposed to fill up when bringing back the car, unless you take the expensive prepaid fuel option. 3) Yes it is always better to thoroughly check the car for scratches, also on the rims, and make pictures/video when picking up the car (and when bringing it back). And 4) yes, you will need a eal\ credit card (not a debit Visa or Mastercard), on the name of the primary renter, if you want to avoid a fuzz. Happy rental!

Sixt rental charged roughly 2,000 dollars for damage that was less than 5cm for 5 scratches 4 on the front most likely caused by road gravel from cars in front of me. I recommend finding a different rental company if considering sixt. The rental before this someone at some point must have parked next to me and caused a less then 5 cm scratch door ding and they charged me roughly a thousand. Unless you to want hidden fees on turn in go elsewhere. They don't do walk around with you to show existing damage and don't do walk around with you on turn in to note any damage. Someone could damage the car right after you drop off in their lot and they will charge you.

I’m surprised about some of the negative reviews below. I have been renting cars from Sixt regularly in various locations and countries for nearly 10 years now. I have never been disappointed. Excellent cars and very friendly service. I have used the “Midi/South” train station a few times now and I have always been treated by courteous, friendly and very competent staff. Strongly recommend Sixt.
