The ambience was good. .it gives an old school vibe. The carvings on the ceiling are intricate and interesting. The music is also good, but a little loud. Prices are a little high, but the services and location is good so it's worth it :)

Centric and nice area, nice environment, beautiful restaurant, very nice background music, very kind staff. Fast food, but not bad. The apple cake is amazing. They also accept restaurant cards ('ticket restaurant', as Edenred), which is pretty nice, as many Belgian companies use them.

One of my favourite bars in the area. Great for having a beer outside and watch people passing.

The location on boulevard Anspach is ideal, right next to the impressive Brussels Stock Exchange building. The location however reflects in the beer prices: charging 4,50 EUR and even more for some Belgian speciality beers like Triples (of which most you can easily buy in a Belgian supermarket or dedicated beer shop for less than 1/3 of the price). For this elevated price we didn't even have table service on the terrace and had to order at the counter. El Metteko when it comes to drinks is simply overpriced and that's why most visitors are tourists who don't have a clue about local prices. Not recommended to sample a couple of Belgian beers with your mates, because the bill will add up far too quickly.

Nice bar with excellent view/teras on the central boulevard. Good friendly service.

Still a little quiet inside because of the lock down but plenty of space outside on the terrace and lots of people are enjoying the sun and the excellent served drinks.

As soon as he recognised me being a tourist, the bartender tried to con us by pouring small glasses of beer instead of the larges ones which I actually ordered and paid for. After another colleague helped us out, nobody even looked us in the eye throughout the time we stayed there. Overpriced and totally not worth it.

Ducked on here to shelter from the rain. Great decision. Good beer, friendly staff, very welcoming.
