Very disappointed in the ice cream. Purchased 2 cups from the freezer in the shop for 5 euros each. Brought back to hotel and found it to be very bland. Would have brought it back but shop was closing when we made our purchase. Not what I expected from a Belgian chocolatier.

a nightmare. I bought a chocolate ice cream, the shop assistant told me with sugar or without sugar, as I answer that according to me knowledge it is impossible to prepare an ice cream without sugar she told me without added sugar... The ice cream was completely frozen it was not possible to eat it for more then ten minutes, even after fifhteen minutes it was full of ice, probably it was unfrozen and frozen again a lot of times. When I came back complaining the shop assistant told me I am sorry I cannot do anything. I don’t think further comment are necessary..

If you want to buy Belgian chocolate there is no other option. Just avoid the tourist traps and spend 1 or 2 more but therefore get really high quality chocolate.

That’s the most delicious chocolate in the area! Though we’ve wanted to buy some chocolate from their competitors as well, during our chocolate desustation at different places we could not find a better place. So we came back to Pierre Marcolini to get extra packages.
