I ordered a full box of nougat and marzipan last month. They have great communication. One of the flavour I ordered was sold out. The shop contacted me the next day to ask if they could replace it with an ok ther flavour I may like. The sweets I received were all packed with care. They are very fresh. I love the marzipan most. I will definitely order more from Brown Sugar in the future!

Amazing place! The lady that works there was very nice and friendly. The place is definitely cheap but who doesn't like to treat themselves with someone delicious looking! Wide variety of chocolate products, marzipan, truffles, meringue and many more. I would recommend to anyone. There was a gentleman standing in front of us and he spent 50 on chocolate ;))

My sister and I each bought about 10 Euro worth of Marzipan in several different flavors, a very good price for the quantity of homemade product. The taste differences were a little subtle but still, fresh and good. We were assured that it would last for months when sealed but we gobbled it up within a few weeks and it was good till the end. I would recommend this shop.
Saw this place and thought it looked amazing. My partner and I both love marzipan so very quickly decided to purchase some as a treat, despite the price. We bought cafe, pistachio and speculoos flavours. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed, as the flavours are almost undetectable. Neither of us smoke, so our taste buds are in perfect working order! Indeed, my partner loves good food, but even he can barely taste anything other than marzipan. Such a shame, as now it feels like we wasted our money. Should have spent it on more chocolate instead... Edit: just thought I'd add that based on responses to other reviews, I'm not at all surprised by the owners response to my review. Read into that what you will...

I wandered in while visiting in 2018. The nougat was amazing and I am a huge fan of fresh marzipan (of which theirs was great). The owner even pointed us out that Neuhuas had gone somewhat downhill since I was in Belgium in 2006, and directed me to Pierre Marcolini - to which I will be forever grateful. Cute store, great product, and in a nice location. Oddly enough, it was raining and for some reason I didn't melt straight away unlike some reviewers here. Maybe living in Portland made my skin thick enough to withstand it the awful water falling from the sky.
We were caught in a sudden rain shower and took shelter underneath this place's awning. A couple of other people did too. We were looking at the sweets and getting interested to buy something when suddenly the store pulled in the awning deliberately leaving us all in the rain! Never seen such rude and bitter behaviour! Of course we decided not to buy anything there!
