The Hostel position is perfect. But the facility is old, and showers and bathrooms aren't very clean. The breakfast is good enough, and the young guys of the reception are fantastic.

The facilities are reasonable. The bed I slept on in a mixed dorm was comfortable, but quite squeaky any time I moved. The reception was helpful and pleasant, and the location simply can't be beat. This hostel lists free breakfast on Hostelworld but this isn't the case, so make sure to bring a few more bucks to stop into some of Antwerp's cafés.
Super nice Hostel on a great location. The staff is amazing! Breakfast was super and the whole place was nice & warm! Would definitely go back there!
From the beginning my experience with this hostel was quite bad. When I arrived, I was given a key to 18-bed dormitory, while my reservation clearly stated a 10-bed dormitory. There was only one place free, on the top of bunk bed, but this bed had no ladder to climb to the top (every other beds had one). The guy on the reception promised to do something about it the next day (and yep, he did nothing). The next day I had to explain the whole thing to another person at the reception. She found someone to finally put a ladder on my bed. But couldn't explain me why my reservation was changes without notice nor she could find any solution to have a calmer room. At that point I've already started to get some weird "allergy" on my hands, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I realized what that was the next day, after the check out. Cause this "allergy" appeared also on my back, on my shoulder and my legs. I was actually bitten by bedbugs!!! I've informed the hostel about them but didn't get any reply (yet). Now I'm praying that I didn't bring these little pests home in my luggage. I've been to a lot of hostels around Europe, but this one is by far worst one. UPDATE: I accidentally found out that I paid for this hostel twice. I was debited right after my reservation AND was asked to pay again upon my arrival to the hostel. After a few exchanges with the hostel, they paid me back, saying "everybody makes mistakes". I was lucky to check my bank account... I also asked for a full refund because of the bugs bites, but this demand was refused. They offered me "a free stay on my next visit" which is laughable cause I'll never stay in this again.
Amazing location right next to the square which is also helpful if you are planning on taking a tour of the city. Great access to outlets next to the bed and they provided medium-sized lockers in the room. Unfortunately, you must bring your own lock. I felt comfortable enough to walk on the room floor with my bare feet. It is definitely apparent that they tend to cater to youth based on the cute chalk signs they have. They provided a decent breakfast with bread, cheese, meat, liege waffles, apples, etc. I would happily return again
In this place as a single traveler I met first night 2 dutch girls with whom we went out for a night beer! Nice kick off Antwerp adventure, dank u wel, 5 or even more, 7!
Good hostel although it may get loud at night due to the karaoke bar across the street. Good facilities although the showers smell a bit. Okay breakfast. Not much of an atmosphere. Very nice views from the upper floors of the hostel. You need to make your own bed. Good sized lockers. Free luggage storage.
